Foxtel
Smart Digital Media has provided FOXTEL with a range of services throughout the years. In co-operation with FOXTEL Smart Digital Media has:
- Designed and built FOXTEL’s original 30-channel broadcast capabilities at Pyrmont in Sydney, Australia.
- Designed and managed relocating FOXTEL’s 100 channel technical and broadcast infrastructure to a new location at North Ryde (11,000 m²). All channels were transitioned whilst On Air with no loss of service, without duplication of equipment. During this relocation, the FOXTEL facility was upgraded to provide an additional +100 channels of digital and interactive content. A range of new set top boxes was introduced, including personal video recorders (hard disk).
- Over the last 15 years, Smart Digital Media staff and associates launched subscription television services on three satellites. The last launch included splitting the 200+-channel FOXTEL platform across two satellites and introducing multi-polarity broadcasting to the Australian customers. All channels were On Air, with no loss of service.

FOXSPORTS Australia
Smart Digital Media staff and associates have managed the design and build of a new site for FOX SPORTS (8,000 m2 of studios, baseband facilities and infrastructure). This included designs of workflows and technical implementation of both Production and Play-out operations. SDM staff directly supported every aspect of relocating the entire FOX SPORTS technical and broadcast infrastructure to the new site. All channels were transitioned whilst On Air with no loss of service, without duplication of equipment.
Sky News Australia
Smart Digital Media designed, built and relocated Sky News Australia, transitioning the multichannel live newsroom in a 24-hour period whilst maintaining continuity of channel output.
Globecast Australia
Smart Digital Media has acted as Project Director for the Globecast Australia commercial and technical operations relocation project. We were also intrinsic in managing the design and implementation for the Globecast OTT IP platform
Astro – Malaysia
Smart Digital Media provided a5-year technology strategy roadmap plan, which included space planning, facilities and technology planning.
